Treatment Approach

Dr. Husein's philosophy

80% of cases resolve with conservative care

Conservative Care First (Preferred)

  • Wide toe-box footwear
  • Padding and bunionette cushions
  • Custom orthotics
  • Anti-inflammatory medications
  • Corticosteroid injections

Surgical Consideration (Last Resort)

Surgery is always the last resort.
Surgical correction involves shaving the bony prominence or realigning the fifth metatarsal bone. Considered when pain persists despite conservative care.
