Haglund's Deformity
The pump bump -- a painful bony prominence at the back of the heel.
Haglund's deformity is a bony enlargement of the back of the heel bone (calcaneus). It is often called the pump bump because it commonly develops from wearing rigid pump-style shoes. The bony protrusion can irritate the Achilles tendon and bursa.
